In my experience, humiliation is the only true path to being a humble person.
I have observed mine and other's attempts to "be humble" with subtle
substitutions such as modesty, self-deprecation, even flattery to others.
We can't afford to feel sorry for ourselves.
This is the place where the scriptures must come alive for us.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,
to those who are the called according to His purpose.
