What on earth does this have to do with anything? Discussions of God's opinion of social order hardly have anything to do with biological processes.

Survival of the fittest is trivial to observe; take a half-dose of antibiotics.

survival of the fittest.......

#1 doesnt matter how big, strong, and or fit you are a 30-06 is enough to drop you clear out to 200 yards or better.

which means the fittest dont always win.

#2 if survival of the fittest is true, then why are all those weaklings at the gym, they havent evolved as far as me why arent they dead?

'cuz they're smarter than you, or more resistant to disease, or because the species is healthy enough to support a bit of variety.

'Fittest' doesn't necessarily mean biggest, strongest or bulletproof.

Survival doesn't always require the ability to benchpress your own weight.

'Evolutionary advantage' does suggest the ability to live long enough to pass on genes, and promote the survival of offspring.

Unfortunately, 'fittest' doesn't require the ability to understand the concepts of evolution, either...yet.

Is the God of the Bible a God of "survival of the fittest?"

1 Corinthians 1:27

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
No:

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Wow. You dug up a thread from 2002 just so you can repeat the O.P.?? Amazing! Give yourself a cigar! :wave:

I can see it now.

Av reports himself to himself just so he can exonerate himself.

The OP hasn't been active on this forum since 2003 -- surely you don't expect AV to "answer" questions from someone who can actually tell him how wrong he is?

He necro'd it purely so that he could correct the Bible verse to the KJV. The fact is that this involved nothing more than changing the words "to put to shame" to "to confound" and the word "has" to "hath". Why he thought we'd be interested in seeing such minor "corrections" I don't know.

Either that, or the OP asked a very specific question, and I answered it with a very specific answer.

But I realize why you guys don't understand my answer, since it called for a simple "yes" or "no"; and I complied, rather than yakked for two paragraphs and said nothing.

That's quite an interesting question as this was part of Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy. He had more respect for Judaism than Christianity because the brutality of the Old Testament seemed to fit in with the new notion of 'survival of the fittest'. In the OT God did indeed seem to favour his people to the extend he was willing to destroy others. Elephanticity was really quite accurate when he wrote "it's more 'survival of the chosen' than the fittest."
