Glad you're here! But, I am wondering if we are to take your statement as a question, or as rhetorical.

Why are you surprised, Leah? By your statement, I might infer that you've had some bad experiences with people who call themselves Christian. If so, I'm sorry to hear that. Am I correct, or is there something else you like to discuss with us?

I frequently sound very harsh. It is simply who I am. I was not trying to be offensive. I generally do not reveal very much, if anything, about myself to anyone. I see it as none of their business.

I usually refer to Christians as "your kind" since you say you are 'new creations in Christ' so I make sure there is a strong distinction between myself and Christians.

Yes, I have had extremely bad encounters with Christians. Not sure there is much to discuss about it since nothing can be resolved anyway.

I find the video rather unimpressive. I've heard sich talk many time before. If that is their real opinion then great but it is rather meaningless to me.

Why have you bothered to say so in this forum? What is it you're hoping to accomplish by your posts?

It doesn't really matter what "my kind" may think of you. It does, however, matter a great deal what God thinks of you. If the Bible is to be believed, God's view of humanity is pretty dim. In His estimation we are all "evil, stupid" and void of spiritual life. Fortunately, God is a deeply loving and compassionate Being and so He refuses to leave us to the terrible consequences of our evilness, our stupidity, and our spiritual lifelessness. Through Christ He has made a way for us to become holy, wise and spiritually alive.

I've had some pretty bad encounters with Christians myself. And most occurred after I became a Christian. Ick.

We don't mind chatting with someone who isn't Christian. Why not, your still a person!

Maybe you've been exposed to people who used religion as a weapon against you - rather than enjoying their position in Christ with humility? Did you see my recent post here about Zacchaeus? He couldn't get an accurate view of Christ either, because of the people surrounding Him.
