  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes I've got one :)

I've got a PHP Script that runs on my server, it grabs the "Currently Active Users" section of a page and creates a list of who is visiting a section of Christian Forums (It's for the ASA buddies :) )

Well given that it's just doing a PHP Load page, it doesn't have any cookies, so to CF, it looks like a guest. Is there a way to have my PHP script read the users cookies, pass it to CF so CF sees it as a user and can then view the page as the user calling the script would see it ?

I think you should able see their IP Addresses, but I doubt there is a way that PHP script the user's cookies. I'm not that good with forum script codes. Let me try get someone to answer your question pretty soon. I know a friend who know mostly about forum script and other PHP script stuff. I mostly know more about computer software and hardware though. Basically, PHP is like an internet thingy, isn't it? Haha... I'll find someone to answer your question if they know. Thanks for asking because that was pretty good question.

Is there any way I can get the recycle been back if I deleted it?
Yes..... BUT....
1) Stop using that computer
2) You'll need some recovery software
3) What happens when you "delete" a file, is you tell windows that that area of the Hard Drive is now available for Data storage. If nothing has been placed there after you deleted the file, you stand a good chance of recovering the data, but if the Operating System (OS) has used that area to store new data, the odds of recovering the data drop dirmaticly.

Yes I deleted it. It can be deleted with the new op windows vista.
Ok, just took a look at one thing (Got Vista Also)

When you delete it you should of gotten this popup
attachment.php

So Click on Control Panel --> Personalization

On the Left side, there should be a link to "Change Desktop Icons"
Click on that, and you can restore the following
Computer,User's Files, Network, Recycle Bin, Control Panel

PGP,

I was employed for a while as a PHP programmer. For your problem you may want to take a look at the PHP CURL library extension. I've used it to write web crawlers and a search engine backend. I know the command line version has many options. I'm betting that you could use it to send a cookie when browsing.

Take a look at php.net documentation under CURL. Of course the box you run php on will need to have it installed.

Oh Good... We found someone who know about PHP Script. I'm glad you found this, eh. How are you? I notice that you joined this forum since 2002 and only had 35 posted... Wow... You must be busy with your family :)
