The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

the thoughts are hard and can be so soul destroying hun. but please try fight them, try find scripture verses that help.
Keep thinking that God wont do it because thats true, it can be easy to put the blame on God (and im not saying there is anyone to blame.) and he can handle us getting angry with him etc. but your not being punished at all hun. sometimes we see ourselves differently to how we actually are, and how others see us. and like Craida said its not punishement its a disease. and one that feeds of our negativity.

Its not you that you hate hun its the thoughts, and actions that come with those thoughts and feelings. its complicated and really hard to make any sense of. Like Criada said in an earlier post its a disease. do you have n e one around you that you can talk to about how your feeling? x

Atomic, it sounds like you have a binge eating problem. A lot of people who confess to eating disorders usually have conditions in which they deprive themselves, not overindulge but I'm here to tell you that I also have a problem of wanting to eat lots. I am very overweight. I think however my problem is that although my diet is not that high in fat, it is high in calories.

i went through a really bad binge stage after being very restrictive. Maybe if your able to spread your eating out, find foods that you fel ok eating and just spreadd it out. it might help. i'm sorry not the best person to be giving advice, but i try be helpful.
are there n e local support groups or maybe you gp that would be helpful. its good that your husband tries to understadn but it can be difficult i know that one. Its hard for friends and relatives to come near to understanding ed's
I'm not supposed to be online at the minute ( but staff are little bit busy so hey, keeping myself occupied till theyre free and can talk to them) so not sure how long im going to be on

Getting by is good start, its better than not getting by (or summit like that any way)
I was bit spaced out earlier, had bit of a rough morning, and had to have extra meds but yeah im not too bad now, just been out in garden for sum sun.
me..... i'm a bit all over the place at the miniute, very up and down. still got tube in
that gets reviewed wednesday when docs here. but hey see what happens. guess just doing a day at time a minute that all i can do.

yeah, so do i, but its a bit of a confusing feeling with it all not too sure how im feeling around it coming out, and staying in for that matter i hate it, yet its the lesser of two eveils!!!!!!!! bleurgh
Todays been a really really bad day, following a rough night hopefully the extra meds im getting tonight (if theyve been written up that is!) will really help me sleep, as im desperatly needing it!!!!!!
