At least back then they weren’t promoting sodomy.Supes. Social Justice Warrior and mainstream media journalist since 1938.
Jon Samuel Kent? Where's the Kryptonian connection? Why not Jon Jor-el Kent? JJ would be a cool nickname.
Risky? Not. It's not new or fresh or risky. It's just politically correct to push perversion now.I hope posting this isn't taken as a TOS violation. I just wonder what people think. Obviously, it's a controversial, and somewhat risky move. Are the writers being inclusive, and creating a character with whom some readers can identify? Or is this pandering for publicity?
Superman's son comes out as bisexual in a new comic. It's a big deal — sort of

I stand corrected. They were vile then, too.

The difference being that interracial marriage isn’t a perversion. When I was growing up in the segregated South, it was considered perverse for a white man to marry a black woman. Some folks still think that way. But times and values change. It’s inevitable.

There is no the anti-Christ. So that’s not it.Maybe not, but it is the March of the Anti-Christ. Or so I've been told.
There's nothing new under the sun. Certainly, no form of sexual perversion is new. It's been part of many collapsing civilizations. When I was growing up in the segregated South, it was considered perverse for a white man to marry a black woman. Some folks still think that way. I agree with a lot of your post I thought the basic idea of a female Jedi was fine and potentially a good twist.
Rey however had a lot of Mary Sue problems and that I think had a lot due to the "Future is Female" agenda as well as the bad management of the Star Wars and Disney's aggressive film making goals which really sacrificed fore thought, planning, refining ideas etc.
Except we see female Jedi all through Cannon and the Extended Universe. It wasn't a twist. Female Jedi were already established in cannon (Leia, Jocasta Nu, Luminara, Shaak Ti, ect). Don't even get me started on Nomi Sunrider in the EU

It’s never been a perversion. It was back in the 50s when I was growing up in GA. It was an article of faith in some (if not most) Southern Baptist churches that separation of the races was God-ordained. To their credit, they've admitted error, and rejected that position. That's my point. Times change and doctrines change--even religious doctrines.
Maybe not, but it is the March of the Anti-Christ. Or so I've been told.
