Kariana groaned.
"What's wrong now?" the teacher sitting next to her asked.
"I'm a computer excpert and I can't figure out why the stupid printer wont work!"
"That does sound like a dilema. Well, I'm off." he said, and walked out of the computer room. After an hour she finally got the printer working again.
"Finally!" she said. Her computer class was just about to start.

Okay, I just remembered something.(my younger brother reminded me) Natalie, since she can run faster than light, it's been theorized that if someone can run fater than light, they can go forward and backward in time. Natalie can. She can also run through glass without even scrathing it. Just thought I'd say that. ;)

Andromeda banged her head against the window, waiting for a spark of insperation. She was a poet, and loved to write about anything beautiful, such as ice, flowers, snow, starrs, and all manner of things. She was having a bad case of nostalgia, and as she waited for words to spring into her mind, she drifted back a hundred years.....
She was sitting atop a comet, slowly orbiting the sun again and again, when she heard her mother call. She vanished and appeared on their doorstep, brushing the star dust from her hair. "Yes mother?" She said, straightening her curls and holding her head up. Out of the translucent doorway came a lovely woman, looking not much older than 25. (Of course, she was not going to correct anyone by telling them that she was actually 789 yrs of age.) Andromeda's mother, Casseiopeia, was extremely light in color, with blonde hair lighter than her daughters, and more wispy, but just as curly, framing her face with golden strands. Her eyes were of the deepest ebony, with a small star shape in the center that glowed with delight. She smiled, and spoke, her voice like silver bells tinkling softly. "Andromeda, my sweet. I thank you deeply for this lovely poem that you left beside my bed." Her mother said, holding up a piece of paper in her warm hand. "Oh, you are most welcome, mother." Andromeda said, glowing with pride, for it was a beautiful piece of work. The poem had been written in the native tongue of Andromeda's people, and therefore too difficult to decipher here, but it had been all about the moon, Casseopeia's very favorite thing. Andromeda had a wonderful way with words, and her mother loved it when she wrote. Their language was incredibly beautiful, a little like the Elvish in the books Andromeda had read on earth, but not quite as soft. It gave the impression of running water, like French, but not as uncivilized as the French. It is very hard to describe. Suddenly, Andromeda had the insperation she was waiting for. She wrote the following poem, the words coming almost too fast for her to write.

A star shoots past a sunken moon,
Leaving its trails of dust.
A comet chases it through the sky,
with the fiery color of rust.
The sun flames up with sudden delight,
Shooting it's golden rays,
As the stars all sing in harmony,
Brightening up the day.

Andromeda was thinking of when the stars used to 'sing', when they would orbit, they would make a beautiful silvery sound, and it was all in perfect harmony. She fell asleep, thinking of her beautiful home among the stars.

Andromeda was jolted awake, by the phone ringing. More news reporters asking for an interview with this young girl who had gotten rid of Scar. She hung up as the man on the other line was still pleading, and sat down on her bed...wishing this had never happened. She hated it when she did that to people, good or bad. She never told anyone, but she knew where they really went. They were sucked into that vortex, that supposedly endless black hole, but it wasn't endless. They were transported into matter, which transformed them into different beings, ones that could breathe in space. They were then sent hurdling through the darkest regions of the fourth dimension, doomed to never die, but to simply fly through darkness, with no stars, and nothing else around, forever. The thought was so horrifying to Andromeda, she hated doing it. She wished she hadn't even asked her mother where the victims went when they were sucked through the blackness. She had had nightmares for a week after that. Andromeda was a compassionate soul, and she hated harm coming to anyone. That was why she had cried so much when she had shot Scar with two supernovas. Because no matter who it was, Andromeda knew that they would be in agony forever. She hated the very thought.

Kariana taught the class with barely enough breath for the whole class. After working on the computer printer for almost four hours, she was exhausted, yet relieved. After the class she was tidying things up, when Danny walked in.
"Hey, you off work?"
She looked up and smiled.
"Yeah."
"You wanna go for some dinner?" he asked. "My treat."
"With an offer so convincing, and over three hours of fixing printers, how could I refuse? Just let me freshen up."
"You look fine." Danny said.
Kariana smiled, pointed at a huge brown coffee stain on her white shirt, and shook her head. Danny smiled and escorted her out the door. If someone who didn't know them, were to see them together, they never would have guessed that they were engaged. It was obvious something was going on, but never that they were engaged.
Kariana went home, greeted Alanzo her new white kitten, and then changed into a dark red shirt, that matched her dark blue jean skirt. She applied a thin layer of light colored makeup, and was ready when Danny came and picked her up.
They arrived at the last place Kariana exspected.
"An apartment complex?" she asked, in sudden shock of the situation.
"Yeah. Oh, don't worry. I'll only be a minute. I want you to meet a few people." Danny escorted her to a door marked "104". He knocked, and a young woman, about Kariana's age opened the door.
"Danny!" she screamed, and wrapped her arms around his neck. With a kiss on Danny's cheek, the young woman led the two inside. The room was filled with people Kariana didn't know. She felt uncomfortable and out of place. Danny was greeted by everyone, Kariana left standing in the kitchen.
"Oh, Kari! I want you to meet...my sister." Danny led the woman that had opened the door into the kitchen.
"Toni, this is Kariana. Kari, this is Toni, my younger sister."
"Actually Kariana, he's only older than me by a few minutes." Toni said smiling.
"Danny, I never knew you had a twin!" Kariana said.
"Well, she's not exsactly my twin. She's my unidentical twin." Danny said.
"Same difference." Toni and Kariana said in unison. The three laughed, and had a great time celebrating Danny and Kariana's engagment.
As Danny drove Kariana home, they talked.
"I hope you didn't mind the suprise. You told me about two years ago, that you'd always wanted an engagment party. So, I decided that we'd have an engagment party. I hope you didn't mind."
Kariana was silent. She didn't know what she felt. She was grateful for Danny thinking of her, but there were two things bugging her.
"You okay?" Danny asked, parking the car.
Kariana, not wanting to start crying, smiled her thanks said goodnight and got out of the car. Danny did the same.
"What's wrong?" he asked pulling her aside. Kariana couldn't speak, for fear of letting her sudden tears escape.
"Is it something I did?" Danny asked. Kariana shook her head. Tears rolling from her eyes.
"I was just overwhelmed at how I was imediatly accepted into your family. Not that that's a bad thing, I really enjoyed it. But it just wasn't the same without my family there. It reminded me of the times my mom would tell me stories of her wedding party, and how she'd promised to come to my wedding party. Of course she didn't know what would happen to her, but I still wished that my family could have been there. I felt welcome in your family, yes. I've never felt more welcome, but my family is what was missing. Escpecialy my sister. She'd always tell me how she'd suprise me on my engagement party and arive when I'd least expect it. And I told her that it wasn't a suprise wince she'd told me already. But she insisted that she'd suprise me somehow. That's realy all that's troubling me. A few broken promises." Kariana said, sniffling. Danny nodded his head, and pulled her close. Another wave of emotion swept over her, and another sea of tears flew out her eyes and down her cheeks. Danny held her softly, as her feelings flowed through her tears. After a few minutes Kari backed away, and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Kari, I love you. And I'll always be here for you. That's one promise you can count on. Remember that." Kariana smiled through her tears. They shared one last embrace before Kariana walked up the small flight of stairs to her apartment. She watched through the window as Danny got in his car, and drove off. She went to her room and saw a small, wrapped gift on her bed. She picked it up and sat on the bed. She read the note out loud.
"I promised you along time ago, that I would suprise you on your engagment pary night. Here is my gift to you. Mom said to give this to you on your big day, so that you'd always remember her.
Your loving sister."
Kariana opened the small gift, and inside was a a black velvet box. She opened it, and inside was a gold locket. Inside the locket was a picture of her mom and dad. Another note was in the box.
"Mom promised to be there on the big night, and now she is. And she brought dad to." Kariana said through tears.
Her family had kept their promise after all.

Andomeda stepped through the doors of the school the next day followed by a trail of reporters. She was getting mad, and she finally blew the walking stuff and tele transported herself into her first class. By the way everyone stared at her, she knew word had gotten out. And she was boiling mad.

The next day, Natalie walked to her first class. It wasn't anything spectacular, and it flew by quickly. Her next class was alot longer, so it seemed. She hated Math. She was good at it, but she hated it. After Math, was History. Her favorite subject. Not only was the class fun, but the teacher was nice.

Andromeda felt her eyes burn, but she swallowed and blinked, remembering the whole reason these people were pestering her. She whirled around, and looked every one of them in the eye. She quietly took a deep breath, and in a menacing tone, she said- "Do you guys know how Scar died? You don't do you? And do you know why? Because he isnt dead. He's floating through the void in the fourth dimension. And unless you want that to happen to you too, you had better get away from me, or I'll be on you faster than you can say 'Endless Vortex'." The crowd of reporters suddenly got quiet. They scattered, turning red and mumbling curses to themselves as they piled into cars with unfamilier newspaper logos on the sides and drove off into the cold morning, leaving Andromeda alone, and grateful for it. She tripped over her own feet heading into school. As she mopped up her bloody knee and placed a bandage over it, the nurse stood with a look of curiosity and said- "How did you get that mass of reporters to leave so fast? There was at least fifty there in the street!" Andromeda looked up from her war wound and replied- "Have you ever threatened someone in a very...um...creative way? It works." She left the office, leaving nurse still curious.

Andromeda was walking to her first class of the day, when she heard sirens. I wonder what's wrong out there? She thought.

She had a horrible feeling she needed to help, so she ran out of the school, and immediately she saw what was wrong. There was an old abandoned warehouse across from the academy, and inside terrorists were holding a group of school children hostage. The police were getting desperate, not knowing how to meet the terrorist's demands. They wanted to be set free without being arrested, as well as bailing three of their buddies off of death row, and they also wanted $30,000,000 dollars in cash. Andromeda grimaced, trying to think of a way to help.
