I will be subbing grade 1 and 2 Sunday School this weekend. The theme is "worship" (personal, family or church) and I'm needing ideas. Do you have any thoughts for me? I will go look at the curriculum, but I'm open to trying things you may have done before with success. Thanks in advance.

I agree with Rurik, unless the curriculum is lacking.

In terms of worship, I would go over:
  1. Liturgy
  2. Symbolism of vesture
  3. Meaning of sacraments, particularly Holy Communion since it is central to the worship
  4. Praying
  5. Posture (standing, kneeling, genuflecting, bowing) and when and why
  6. Rolls in the liturgy (clergy, servers, readers, etc)
  7. Church archetecture (particularly if the church has a "historic" build)
  8. Music and hymnody
  9. The Nicene Creed
Plenty of other things as well. Given the grade levels, I wouldn't go into acolyting because they are too young, although grades 3 and 4 should begin that particular fun and important activity.
