Suicide

[font="verdana, arial, helvetica"]One of my friends 8 hours a way is contemplating suicide. I'm trying to talk to her on IM as much as I can. I called the dean at the dorm and told her...so it's in there hands.

I feel like I should do more, but I don't know what. Please pray that she gets through this safely.[/font]

Gracious Heavenly Father..
Lord we come to you in urgency. Lord we pray that you reach this Girl and let her see the Light of your Glory. Lord.. Satan has cast doubts in this Child mind.. I ask you to remove Him from her and let your Love shine and warm her precious soul. Heal the hurt she may be feeling and Give her a reason to live.

Rosebud.. You did right.. and you have done all you can do. Showing someone Love can go a Long way. I know..
I Pray that you yourself will take comfort in Knowing you did all you could do.
One good news is that usally when a sucidel person tells someone else.. it's not suicide they want.. but rather a Shoulder to cry on.

You were that shoulder.

And I ask that you open her eyes that she may see the Beauty of Christ, and that she might know Him in a personal way, far different than she has ever known before. You are doing exactly the right thing. You told someone who can be there to help her directly, and you are turning to God through prayer.

Hevanely father, help Rosebud help her friend. Get her friend to a place where she can avoid this temptation to kill herself, and give her a reason to hope on you for her future. Amen.

Thanks so much everybody! She made it through the night, which is waht I was most worried about! I haven't had a chance to talk to her today, so I'm not sure how she's feeling.

To give you a little background, her parents might get a divorce. This is the second one she would have been through. The first dad was abusive, this one is an alcholic.
