CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Brenda, I am praying for you. Please don't think that way. Can you see a doctor? Sometimes we need to do that. I have! I have been in your shoes, many of us have.

Brenda please see a doctor, depression can destroy you. Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you. I'm praying that you won't take this way out. I pray God strenghtens you. God Loves you Brenda.

I know how you feel Brenda,I have just been there with depression. Have 3 chronic illnesses and so far, what doctors have done, hasnt worked. The other day I thought of ending my life rather than deal with illness. But depression is anger turned inward. To be honest, I should be more grateful, because the path I have been on, is leading to healing. Mine is frustration. It would be best if you sought some minister or counselor to help you.

Brenda, I know what you're going through because I'm going through it right now. I've been on an emotional roller coaster for the past 6 months. One day I want to live and the next day I don't. Earlier today I felt like I was at the end of the road. Whatever you do, hang in there. Things will get better. Though I feel horrible right now, I can't give up. People love and rely on us for many things. Taking that way out isn't the answer. Believe me, I sometimes don't think that but I know in reality that's the truth.

Ah man, this life can sure be hard. For some of us it is extra hard. Hard times though Brenda, these really are the blessings of life. I've suffered from some excrusiating hard times my friend. You know what though... it makes the good times soo much better when you have experienced hard times to compare to. Every day of my life is a joy Brenda. A lot of my attitude about this came from my bad times, and now I know exactly what I have to be thankful for.
Well Brenday Baby, I don't really know what is going on with you. So I hope it doesn't seem like I'm makeing light of your issue. Pray though, it helps so much. If you can find God's will in your situation, you can find peace.
Well I could go on... why don't you tell us what is happeneing with you though, so I can know better what to pray for and what to say. I'm sure though Brenda that you are important and you have a lot to offer the world. I'm excited for you... these hard times will bring you brighter days, all you have to do is make it through them.
Well may your soul shine through the darkness you face. I look forward to hearing about your situation soon...
