  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

AFJ i dont have the words

But wanted to share I have been exactly where your sister is. I used to self harm to get attention to try and get help but noone would listen so i took it further my trying to take my own life. But then there was hope for me. The police and ambulance came I did not want to go with them as I thought they would lock me up and never see my family again. Luckily I had a church out of hours phone number but noone answered so i said no to the police. Then I heard a voice saying go so i went with them.

I am praying that God will speak to her the way he spoke to me. There is hope for her and joy and peace. Depression is not a nice thing to have and i still suffer now and then but i am over the most of it.

God bless you
