  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

St. Dymphna, holy patron of the depressed and the mentally ill, please pray for AllForJesus' sister that she may quickly recover. :crossrc:

Guardian angel of AllForJesus' sister, please watch over her day and night as you have done in the past. :crossrc:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. :crossrc:

Sad update, she tired to cut her hand today when my mom was getting something and was not paying attention to her...

It is really so hard, she don't want to stay at the hospital and she calls us cruels for wanting to keep her and when she gets out she starts again to hurt herself. She wants her friends to take her out ALL the time which is tiering and too much responsibility for them... We really don't know what to do anymore

I'm sorry, sweetie. It sounds as though she needs to be somewhere safe...
It may seem cruel at the time, but one day she will see that it was a good thing,a nd be grateful to you... it is a huge responsibility for family and friends if someone is determined to hurt themselves.. you can't watch her all the time.
Praying that she finds the help she needs to deal with whatever is causing her to feel this way

Praying... as someone who attempted suicide not once but three times, I know how hard it is to break free from the thought of it. However, there is peace and healing with God.

I'd suggest you talk to your parents about looking into a Christian live-in program that can help her... although it will be hard to have her apart from you they can really help her in the long run... only by giving herself wholly and completely to Christ can she be healed...
