Suggestions for Wedding Songs?

I have seen a CD called "Wedding Songs" at the Christian bookstore I shop at...they are all Christian songs...and I'm sure it would be pretty good. Also, maybe look up on Google wedding songs or something along those lines, I'm sure that there would be a big long list...

Yeah...I already searched google. I found too many suggestions there. That's why I'm narrowing it down by soliciting the forum

"I will be here" by Stephen Curtis Chapman is really good! When I get married one of these days I wanna have that song in my wedding somehow!

Another one is "Don't take the girl" it's a country song, so if you don't like country, well, you're out of luck but otherwise, it is very romantic, especially if you sing it to her at the wedding ...or um just play it! hehe!

We ended up choosing Van Morrison - Someone Like You for our first dance song. I can't remember if someone suggested it here...but if you did...thanks!

We're also going to have The Wedding Song in our ceremony.

I went through the whole thread thinking I had the perfect song and you go and steal my idea It is an excellent wedding song.

Isn't the wedding song by Paul Stookey(SP) from Peter Paul and Mary. This is the first time I have heard of Gordon Lightfoot having a version. The version I have heard is my favorite wedding song.

Lot's of suggestions, but I'll chip in my $.02 anyway. I've always wanted to have "The color of my love" by Celine Dion played at my wedding (probably not for dancing, but rather during the ceremony itself).
But... So far no wedding in sight, so we'll see what happen.

just listen to ur local country station for a week, youll find more romantic songs than you could ever imagine, many of which are by artists that are chriastian, even if its not classified as christian music...
