  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Has anyone listened to this yet? I know the official street date isn't until July 5, but I pre-ordered it through Asthmatic Kitty back in May, so I've had it since then. I wasn't sure if I wanted to post this in the "secular" forum, since there's a lot of religious/christian themes in his music and he himself is a Christian. The reason I chose to post it in here, because I really think that Christian or not anyone can appreciate this album and his talent. My favorite track is "John Wayne Gacy, Jr." which is VERY creepy and I also love "Casimir Pulaski Day" but really it's listenable from the beginning to the end.

I was kind of disappointed with the album... but it's generally a strong release that will see a spot in my annual top 10 list.

I think that the more I listen to it, the less significant my innitial complaints become. I'd give it about a B+

I think it's his best album yet. I've listened to all his albums, except Enjoy Your Rabbit. "John Wayne Gacy, Jr" is definitely one of the best songs off the album, but I don't think it's creepy at all. Come on. But lately I've been playing "Chicago" a lot.

I think it's the best album this year so far.

I think it's his best album, and the only really great album all year so far, at least from what I've heard. "The Predatory Wasp... ," "Concerning the UFO...," "Casimir Pulaski Day," "Come On...," and "John Wayne Gacy, Jr." are all amazing.

"Chicago" is the only disappointment, IMO. Boring.

i haven't heard all of "enjoy your rabbit," so i can't really say much about it. i'd say "a sun came" is an enjoyable album though, if a bit inconsistent. well, and goofy at times (but that is intentional). it's worth buying, but best saved for next to last (saving enjoy your rabbit for last, if you care to buy it at all). i think "demetrius" and "happy birthday" are great songs (off a sun came) as well.

I am just simply baffled-- baffled! at the lack of respect Enjoy Your Rabbit is getting.

Considering it is one of the greatest Steve Reich/Philip Glass influenced pieces EVER. It's really a classical composition dressed up in brooding electronica.
