• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I suffer from psychotic disorder/paranoid schizophrenia. I believe what I see that people are following and watching me.

I started getting it last year, and thought it disappeared after 3 months. Then 9 months later it returned. I still think that it's real, that ppl are watching/following my movements to and from work, and sometimes at the weekend. However my wife and family try their best to convince me it isn't true, that those ppl are there not for me.

Losing my job recently is also a double-blow to me.

Stuck at home, I get visits from doctors/nurses and family to keep a watch on me.

I've not been Christianed, but I have read the bible on and off throughout my life. I do read some verses from the Bible, and try to look ahead.

I hope one day everything will go back to normality, that people will stop following/watching me, and life return to normal.

I'm sorry you're suffering this, it sounds very hard to live with.
Being Christened isn't really important, the important part is making Jesus your Lord. If you need to know more about that, there's a link at the top right of this page which says "Be a Christian"

Praying for you

Thanks for your reply.

Time is moving on. I still have beliefs in ppl watching/following me, though stuck indoor I see less ppl, so I seem to feel better. Not a cure but works for me.

My thoughts are still focus upon my condition, though I try to distract myself moreso, e.g. writing in this forum.

Thanks again

Hang in there my friend. My uncle has schizophrenia too and he isn't too lucky. He is really paranoid. Whenever we see him, he tells us about how the U.S Government is after him and that the Japanese are going to bomb the whole planet. He is homeless and really a mess. His physical health is really degrading too. What I am trying to say is that there are always people who are not as lucky as we are. I am not saying that we should see ourselves as perfect. I think looking at others who are not as fortunate as us can lift our moods up. Try doing something like that. And don't forget to read the Bible daily. It is more powerful than anything else we know.

God Bless

HOLY GOD be Magnified in Your son Jesus Christ..
LET Your Will be Done here on Earth as it is in heaven...

Could it be that my God.. is a Great and all powerful God..
Could it be that He chose you to bear fruit.. you are to Good for your last Job... Your eyes were opened...

I have experienced the same thing.. You need not worry.. You will overcome this even though not nice to behold.. You will learn to stay away.. from what is bad..

I have found this problem more prevalent in London.. when I lived and worked their also..

Could it be that You rise above your contemporaries at work? Is it because your an honest man.. ?

be blessed..
