Subforums

Well since I have been gone for awhile (due to computer beeing a brat) I came back with the go ahead to gather info from all you crazy WPers out there on an idea I ran by a couple of the mods here. They both said they would disscuss it and for me to see what others thought so here is my idea. I saw that a couple of forums have subforums (ie catholics have chapel and cataclism class). I thought may we too could have subforums and with the hugeness of The Order of the Candle I thought that could be one of them and the other (with the popularity of covered dish dinner) could be for fellowship posts and it could eb called something like Felloship time, Fellowship room, Covered dish dinner, or whatever. I have a poll for ALL who visit this area and anyone can comment on what you think of the idea as well as give ideas of titles of the new subforums.

I voted no, . But it seems like a lot of work, when the current threads do the trick. To me--and this is just me--it goes against our openness in WP. I like it that everyone can come and go as they please.

herev you need not be sorry. the great thing about this area is that openess you talk about. The idea that people can get together and give ideas that might be different and they are embraced by others is novel in todays day but here at WP they are common place. (at least we hope so.) I am glad you disagree with me and even if my idea goes down in flames I feel glad that I could come here express a view people will eith disagree or agree with it but none will think less of me because of it. I think its great.

maybe there just is not the interst in this. If one thinks no then please vote that way you will not hurt my feelings but it would be nice to haev some type of cocensus on this.

There's entirely too many subforums every week at CF. At first I couldn't understand it then I saw how some staff got to be such nervous nellies when people expressed ideological opposition to one another that the intent must be so we can all be balkanized and avoid offending some of the timid with an opposing viewpoint.

That said, I don't care. If you want it ask for it and it'll probably be done.

BTW I like this forum but I liked the P/R/E forum better. That one would have been outstanding if the political correctness requirements had not been instituted.

no i don't wear women's clothing. (lol) Sorry about spelling that is my downfall but I am not afraid to addmitt it.

ANyway I'm gald more people said something. I guess for the most part I agree that there are not enough regulars in here to have subforums. I did think that there are enough people that come through (especially the two threads I suggested) to warrant them.

I do agree that the intent of WP is to be in Unity however so I will humbly say thank you for your input and I will not request that we put in subforums. God Bless and peace.

I didn't put my input in because I really wanted to see how others felt.

What if we sticked the Covered dish dinner thread and the Order of the Candle thread? Since those seem to be two of the most popular threads, if there were at the top, we wouldn't have to hunt for them. Any thoughts?

That sounds like the best idea to me too. That is a nice compramise see that is why you are a good mod. (in cute voice) Whos a cut mod, who's a nice mod, nice mod goood mod now roll over and sit up. being silly and sometimes I get a little crazy.

Do not get me wrong ClementofRome (hey I even invited you to join the Order) and you were probably just making a joke. However, you showed me why it is important to keep WP without subforums. If every Denom under the Wesley banner had a subforum it might go on forever. Here at WP (especially through the order) we strive to promote unity through love and kidness. Unity also by having just one forum makes much more since to me too.
However, I still like the idea of making covered dish and the order sticky.
