Two of my children had asthma as toddlers, but outgrew it. We usually had to watch out for cold weather and make sure when they had colds to keep them indoors and warm. A humidifier at night is a wonderful way to keep them comfortable at night in the winter.

Same with our younger son; he had a bout of it around 18-24 months, with the inhaler and all, but it didn't last long. We put a humidifier in the bedroom, and he's done well ever since. He's 17 now, and no breathing problems; in fact, he's rarely sick with anything.

The doctor confirmed today that he has asthma. The breathing treatment lowers his ability to fight off infections and colds....he already gets sick a lot. This kinda concerns me. He is in daycare Monday-Friday with my wife(she works at a daycare). I just hope this treatment helps him and hopefully he is finally building up his immune system so this new medicine will not affect him in a negative way.

Both my boys have asthma. They are on an inhaler in the morning and evening, and then they have an emergency one. They also have allergies, so that just makes it all worse. The asthma is worst in the winter. Allergies I was hoping would go away after spring but still here and no change.
