Btw I wanted to add the blog is off site. I don't post on the Christian Forums blog anymore and haven't in awhile. So if you're curious its not here....so you can't look at my blog posts and find anything interesting.

Well I just won't put Bush in my blog at all. Its not a humor blog or a political blog. Its not gossip blog. Its just a whatever I think about sometimes blog and I wanted to write something about Bush because I like him not for the presidency so much but because IDK I just do

FWIW, I share that feeling. Although I think he did many bad things in office and set back his party, I also think that he is a decent and good man who received a steady stream of slander and hatred from the Far Left extremists for everything he tried to do, including attacks upon his wife and children. Yet he never responded in kind. Few politicians, president or not, have behaved with as much dignity as he did in office.

Well that's nice to know. I guess I won't find much of anything and there's not enough to post a blog about. I like a good couple of paragraphs in my blog but if all I can find was "Well he had a good personality." that's only one sentence not 10 good ones. Even 10 I could work with.

why would it be overrated? I'm sure that those whose human rights are being violated anywhere in this world would love to have freedom just curious.

I don't think that freedom is something to be taken for granted.

It's overrated in that it has/can become an idol to be fed and worshipped. At the other extreme it is taken for granted to the point that others are used to maintain a status quo.

As for those with violated human rights~I think particularly of China~

Our freedom, our liberty is in Christ and not a government law.

Hey I just wanted to post in here to apologize to all of you for wasting your time with this thread. I started a debate and even though it wasn't one that got over the top and heated that was not my purpose
I also feel bad because my original intentions were to get some pretty neat stuff to write about GWB on my blog because well I like the guy and my husband is extremely opposite of that so are a lot of my co-workers. So I felt he's always getting the beat down by people. I like him I might as well tell someone even if it is only me who reads it.
Then I changed my mind totally because I'm trying to avoid a lot of stuff in my blog:
I don't want to over do the humor thing. I want a little bit of fun in it without it being a "humor/parody" blog.
I don't do politics well and so it was going to be light in the politics department. I see enough political blogs anyway.
If there aren't enough celebrity gossip blogs then there aren't enough anything in the world so its not gonna be gossip or celebrity. I could always take pics of random people and "Gossip" about them but that's just wrong.
So it was just going to be a good old
Things I think of blog. I don't need a fan base or readers. I'm just interested in recording my thoughts. I'm pretty boring so I guess that I'll never get a reader outside of me and hubs.
So GWB won't really fit in my blog. I was thinkin of him thinkin something would be interesting enough about our ex-prez....but there's not enough to work with from what I've read here. I can say he's pro-life. I can write that he has a good personality. I can say "You'd rarely see him get anxious or excited when he fumbles on words."
But that's 3 sentences I can't work with him so he's out.

And I'm sorry I wasted everyone's time and stirred controversy. Thank you all for your input.

Agreed. Though I can't honestly give him high marks as president, I think he's a good, decent and likable man.
