What are some good study bibles for ESV and/or NKJV ? Also I would like ask as a second question what would be a good textual or manuscript study bible( i.e. one bring up the various textual traditions and/or consults original languages) ?

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A plain old reference Bible will serve you well, consulting commentaries when needed, but if you really want notes try the following:

I think ESV study bibles are all from the same folks, Crossway. That's who mine is by and out of the hundreds of styles I've seen, they're always Crossway.
Either way, it's an excellent resource. You can buy the hardback for maybe $35-45 on Amazon.

I don't believe in study Bible, so I recommend not using one. Use a King James Bible. That's all you need, and the Holy Ghost will teach you all things.

I have a bunch of study stuff including a little theological libray in real life and on my bible study program ( I use e-sword) and I have been reading as of late a bunch of Dr Henry A. Ironside's work . I kind like how I'm doing it right now with my NKJV I sorta have made it my own study bible with my marks in it and all , but I would like to have like a commentary on hand so that why I'm looking for a study bible. What do you guys think of the Scofield study bible( particularly the one for NKJV aswell) ?

I've got the latest update for e-sword and I have also gone over to bible support.com and got a bunch of modules that's how I stumbled across Dr Henry A. Ironside . What do you guys think of the New Scofield for the NKJV I'm thinking of getting it ?
