amen. if the Holy Spirit really is leading us into all truth, I highly doubt we would be in the dark about this issue.

I am a history fanatic, so I often browse the shelves at my local Barnes and Noble. I once saw that book on the shelves and it raised my eyebrows, so I perused the author's thesis, and I must say, I hope this doesn't sound too harsh, he sounded like a quack to me.

The thing that kept jumping out at me when I read the book flap was, wait a minute, this guy expects us to believe that everything we though we knew about how Christianity viewed "alternative lifestyles" in the ancient world is wrong and he's the one to point this out??? :p

I still shake my head.

:) I'd never heard of the professor his book until my friend brought it up on the IM.
