hi I’m new to this forums. I don’t know if there’s any rules but I’ve been wondering if it’s okay to touch to people sketched or painted. I don’t believe it’s lust do to it is not a real person but I would like to hear others opinions on this matter.

It’s a sin.

I’ve delt with pornography and lust for a long time. Committed adultry for the first time this year after 12 years together and 9 married. I have made a ton of headway if these areas, and before I made my mistake I was doing great. But... I got too comfortable and became vulnerable.

Sorry to get personal, but I believe in transparency and accountability.

There are a lot of scriptures that speak of debauchery and sinning against your body; I don’t need to recall them all.

Woman is to pleasure man.. naturally. Proverbs even says ‘May her breast satisfy you always’. (That’s actually in context).

Although cliche now... WWJD?

I’m not the judge, and I will never be. But for me, the Holy Spirit convicts me every time.

Lastly, when a man “acts out”, it’s upon a thought or an image due to desire. Purity, and the way the Father intended it to be was for one man and one woman.

Well, it is wrong. It does damage, particularly to a relationship with any future spouse. You won't hear that from the world. The experts have all convinced themselves that it's a great idea. And many religious authorities have taken their cue from these same experts.

If it's not a habit yet just stop. If it is a habit you need to work to break it, even if it takes some time. Which will involve custody of your eyes and custody of your imagination. Nobody is blaming you or guilting you here, but you do have a choice, and it does matter. Sex was made by God for better than such a counterfeit.

I suspect a good AG pastor would tell you the same thing in a less public setting. And a bad Catholic priest would not. But I think it would be common teaching between AG and Catholic that it is wrong, at least the more old fashioned AG pastor and the more faithful Catholic pastor.

Whether using a sketch or painting or statue or picture or cartoon or your imagination, still a sin.

It's a sin. In the Sermon on the Mount, Mt 5-7, Jesus makes clear that the sin is in the heart, even when there is no physical contact. You are taking a sister made in God's image and using her as an object for pleasure. That not only cheapens her, but you as well. It doesn't matter if these images are vague. Photographic porn is "not real" either, yet it still packs a punch because the sin of lust is in the heart, and it is very real.

Marriage is different because you are dealing with a real person you are in covenant union with. You are treating her as the whole person she is, and you are trying to build each other up.

God understands our weaknesses and will forgive if we are sincere, but nonetheless it is not His best for us.

Having read and studied the Bible for decades now, I've not found anywhere that it ways masturbation is a sin.
I've meet a lot of people who think it is and a lot who think it isn't. Paul said if you believe it's a sin then to you it is a sin.
