stress and thought reading....

it feels like everyone at work can like read my thoughts... its been my 3rd day there and I just keep to myself and work, its strange...

I worked in another restaurant, my last job I worked there for 6 months as a waiter until I was fired when I had an episode and did some very bad things.....

I dont know, its like I dont want them to know anything about me, but they can probably tell im different. I just know they can tell I have worked as a waiter before even though it's not on my resume. Its alot of stress working like this, some days I have to go to school for 5 or 6 hours then come home to work another 5 or 6 hours. Its alot of preassure.

Im taking 15mg Zyprexa, I wonder if i should up the dose....

I feel the same way at school, its making me paranoid.

i'm proud of you for being in school

there is alot of stressors. i have break through meds. i would deffinately talk to your doctor, getting re-evaluated is grounding and important for your health.
i also have a list of things i can do when i start to feel funny. i can tell when i'm going to have issues. can you tell? are you in therephy?

im not really in therapy but i see a psychadrist once a month, im about to see her in 4 days, so hopefully i can talk to her and see if i need any adjustments on meds, i dont really have insurance so i cant afford anything but i can at least talk to her about it.

Usually after 5-6 hours of school and when im at work for the 4th hour or so i can feel the preassure digging in, and it feels like im getting close to breaking down, but it gets easier every day i do it.... i just dont want to get paranoid at work and do something stupid, i need this job to support myself.

Was a waiter, bus boy, and host...
what a stressfull industry...Do you have any other options?

Keep telling yourself that these people are not reading you thoughts. It's just your subconscious playing tricks on you. If there's like a coincidence, the first place you mind is going to go is 'thought-reading' or something similar, but when this happens, stop, take a step back, and look at the situation from another angle and realize that it was just a coincidence.

15 mg Zyprexa is a big dose. Doubt if your doctor would up the dosage. But its worth asking.

Strange that you think other people can read your thoughts, I suffer from the problem where I can read other peoples thoughts. When I'm psychotic I can feel what other people (usually loved ones) feel or think. Very nasty consequences I have realised as people don't take it easy when someone steals their thoughts.

I overhear other people's thoughts as well. And frequently wish I didn't have to. But how else am I going to get the inside scoop on the secret judgments and lies they try to pass off about me? The things they do against me behind my back thinking I won't see or know? If they weren't getting up to that kind of crap I wouldn't need to be in "alert mode" all the time and would probably tend to tune it out. Y'know?

I don't need to be psychotic for this to happen, and it's usually better if I'm not. What happens when I get psychotic breaks is that the wires get crossed and my own paranoia can create a resonance loop that "sounds" internally to me like the thoughts of someone else. God that sucks. Incoming sensory data and communication sequences get very hard to process at those times.

That same kind of thing happens to me when I'm having a psychotic episode. My thoughts go into a kind of feedback loop, getting louder and louder, and becoming more and more foreign, until I can't tell my thoughts from the other voices in my head. Makes processing information pretty much impossible.

You're right. That does suck.

I agree; remember that you are in control, it may not seem like it but the fact that you are able to identify that this shouldnt be happening is great, and juggling school and work can be stressful at the best of times so that's gr8 that your doing it. Have you tried finding somewhere quiet and praying when this happens? Of even just where you are, when your starting to feel uncomfortable. Will pray for you.
