It only takes one assumption to establish a belief system, and another one to follow it.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

One's belief leads them to seek to have unconditional love for their neighbor, and in turn this leads them to deeds done in good will toward others.
Another's belief leads them to have hatred for their neighbor, which in turn leads to the act of sinning against another person.
It is our job to center our beliefs around what God says, because from him all good things come. The Father sent Christ to die on the cross and rise again so that he could redeem mankind, which is corrupted and in need of a Savior; this was done out of good will and pure love for his creation. Therefore, our belief in God's word helps us to understand those things which are the ultimate good for both our lives and the lives of others around us.

Right beliefs = yes. Wrong beliefs = no. For example, evolution is a lie and wrong belief, but the many are convinced.

What do you mean by belief? There is no thing as 100% certainty. Everything we think is true is a belief. We should hold a belief when we have a level of confidence that the belief is true based on the claim. Believing in a God and believing in gravity are both beliefs but one is grounded in overwhelming evidence and the other has insufficient evidence for belief in my opinion.

Establishing some premise for the sake of belief will depend on the subject matter and on whom you choose to listen to: whether Descartes OR Pascal OR ... some other Joker!
