Stop looking for a temple to be built

If you read closely to Daniel was told in Daniel 9:27, you will notice that it says that 'even unto the consummation, until that determined is poured upon the desolate' meaning that the Israelites as a majority would remain spiritually desolate and without a temple until the end of the 490 yrs and then that which is determined in Daniel 9:26( finish transgression, make an end to sins, ect.) will be poured upon the desolate.

There is only 3 and 1/2 years left to complete the 70th week. This period is revealed in Revelation 11 starting with 2 witnesses preaching in "Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified" meaning that Jerusalem at that time(and as it is now) will be in bondage to sin(Sodom stands for sin and Egypt stands for bondage). Those in Jerusalem will not believe them or even consider what they say and thus the 2 witnesses will strike them with plagues of all sorts as often as they want to.

After the 2 witnesses finish their testimony, the beast that comes out of the Abyss will overcome them and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the streets of Jerusalem and those the dwell there will celebrate over them because of the relief from the plagues. 3 and 1/2 days later the 2 witnesses will be resurrected and caught up to the Lord in heaven. Then a great earthquake will cause a 10th part of Jerusalem to fall, killing 7,000 people. At this point, those in Jerusalem will finally give glory to God, meaning they will finally believe the message of Jesus Christ that the 2 witnesses preached.

The temple and city are all in heaven, for the Lord promised David that there will not fail a king from his house to sit on the throne in Jerusalem to rule over Israel. Being as Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of the Father God Almighty, I would say that Jerusalem is a spiritual city right now, since the Father is a Spirit and Heaven is a spiritual realm.

I agree that there's no reason to be looking for another physical temple in Jerusalem and that the City is in the spiritual realm. Don't know about the rest. Interesting post.

I would agree about the 3 half year as the birth of Jesus would be the other 3 and half:

reve 12:5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

There is also this 5 month period [same amount of time as the flood of Noah] for the actual wraths on the city I think. I don't know if this is in addition to the 42 months or included in it.

reve 9:5 And they were not given [authority] to kill them, but to torment them [for] five months. Their torment [was] like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

then the 42 months for the gentiles to trample on mystery babylon, and for the 2 witnesses and for the beast of the sea.

The greek word that Paul used for 'temple' was 'naos', which denotes a spiritual temple. Paul at that time didn't disclose the destruction of Jerusalem to the Thessalonians because it wasn't their concern. You should remember that Paul preached to the Gentiles and thus Gentile matters mattered most to him.

Did you ever consider that the lawless one, who exalts himself above God, could be a man who enters the Church and claims to be God. Remember, that before Paul mentioned anything about a temple to the Thessalonians, he told them that the man of sin would not come until the falling away from the truth happens. Therefore, it would make it completely possible that the antichrist makes his way into an apostate Church or a Church just entering apostasy, because people will no longer desire to hear the truth, but will want to hear what their itching ears desire.

Although it is good to keep an eye on current events, you should also watch things with Spiritual eyes, lest you be decieved. The Lord bless you.

The second beast is the false prophet because he performs signs and wonders in order that people worship the first beast. Its kind of hard to worship a kingdom, so thus the first beast is a king. The second beast is also called the false prophet because that is what he is called in Revelation 19:19. No other place is the word 'false prophet' mentioned in Revelation except for Revelation 19. Revelation 13 says that the false prophet decieves many by signs and wonders and orders them to set up an image of the beast that people should worship the image and the beast, meaning the image is an idolatrous reputation, just as Paul said the man of sin would enter the temple proclaiming to be God.

The false prophet gives breath to this image that it should speak and cause all who will not worship the image to be killed. This means the false prophet will make the image a position of power, the beast will have success in his place for 3 and 1/2 years. Any of those who will not worship him are killed.

I've never seen a shred of actual evidence that any such plans are taking shape in Israel. It's always in the form of hush hush dark rumors among end-times watchers....with no substantiation whatsoever, or stories from highly dubious sources....just like most end-time scenarios that are being sold today.

Yes. But if you look at chapt 16, there are 3 spirits that come out of their mouths. These are the ones that go out and gather kings of the earth and "world".

That is one interpretation....but the same word tranlsated as temple is used here:

Mar 15:38 And the veil of the temple {naos} was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
Luk 1:8 And it came to pass, that while he {Zacharias} executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,Luk 1:9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple {naos} of the Lord.Luk 1:10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.


Mat 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple {naos}, and departed, and went and hanged himself.Mat 27:6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.


Yes, naos can be used metaphorically regarding the body....but it is also used in regards to the standing temple. AND there is a type of future AC back with Antiochus Epiphanes who did an abomination in the Holy of Holies by sacrifcing a pig, and he stood in the temple and declared himself god.
so looking at it all, I still think thee will be a temple.

Misinterpretation and mistranslations are the leading cause of confusion on the bible today[along with false endtime prophecies].

For example, both earth and world are mistranslated. The greek word is for earth not "world" and that is a big difference because earth generally was used for Israel[note beast of the EARTH].

Nothing disallows a third temple, but it will just be a regular temple, not a temple that God commands to build like the first 2.
The only ones that appear to want one built today are those who want to see an antichrist sit in it. I would find out what one sat in it back in the first century using revelation to understand it better .

Do you think Jesus is talking about a future temple here? The Daniel prophecy was written way before Jesus quoted it and that was while the temple was still standing back in that century!!

Maybe this will help. This is just one site, but there are many groups like this one in Israel who are trying to garner world support for this temple.

Dr. Randall Price, an archaeologist who is currently doing a dig around the caves of Qumran, says that there are are actual blueprints for the temple that have existed for at least 5 years. There is information about the red heifers and all the robes and acoutrements for ceremonies. I have seen video of this and it is very interesting, to be sure.
