No, here it is a literal 24 hour period. You cannot use the passage in question to prove your point. Try again.
As much as JohnR7 and I disagree, I think that he does have a point here (If he is thinking the same thing I am.)
Even under a strictly 6-24 literal reading, until the Sun and Moon are created the days can not be literal since the Sun and Moon don't even exist yet.
