still don't feel peace

I lost my dad a year ago in May. I still cry every day and feel a great sense of saddness.

I miss him and he wanted to live and loved life. He never spoke of dying so I think that's why it's so hard for me because he wasn't ready.

I can't find any comfort and my mind is in torment.

You must have been very close to you Dad and that is a good thing. It has been 7 years since I lost both of my parents and I miss them terribly to this day - they were my pillars, my cheerleaders, and my best friends - the only ones who knew who I am and why. Do you go to a church or read the bible? God promises to comfort those of us who grieve and he does. What can we do for you??

I'm sorry to hear that you lost both of your parents. I hope you have found some kind of peace and comfort. I know how hard it must be. My mom will be 80 in September, she is doing pretty well health wise but I'm concerned about her driving abilities. I also would like to get her to sell her house and get into a condo but she is refusing.
She misses my dad a lot too. He was such a great guy and loved his children and grandchildren more then anything. He had a terrific sense of humor and always made everyone laugh. He was never without a smile.
I better quit rambling on.

Grieving takes different amounts of time for different people. I found that immersing myself in God's Word and work have helped me in grieving for my brother.
