Sure. Why? Because it's beautiful, and would therefore remind us of God, who is the source of all beauty. Because some of it has morally good lyrics which are worth listening to. Funny thing because all I did was point out something I saw. Don't take it as an insult. I ask why somebody is doing something and that is now turned into insulting somebody. You should learn the meaning of love first before you start condemning others.If anything what he said was poetic, but either way you are obviously more concerned with being "manly" than following Christ. A Christian wouldn't throw out a schoolyard insult like this because it is unloving, and we are commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves. I respect your experience of Christian music--I can't find much myself that is praiseful, but you might feel the Christ-based sincerity of Casting Crowns. In particular their songs, Praise You in This Storm; If We Are the Body; and Who Am I? Incredible--I mean they stand above most Christian music as what I call 'real-deal' praise. I'm grateful to God for inspiring them.Um, what happened to not judging? You don't know WHAT I listen to at all.
Thanks for the fact, but I knew that already. That's why I don't like Christian bands, and don't listen to them. I prefer actual church music, that is sung in church. Psalms and hymns, spiritual songs, I don't listen to or like any "Christian bands" or "Christian artists", because you made an excellent point. They're just copying the world.
My mother and I actually turned on the tv the other day to a music video, we were laughing at how silly it looked, and lo and behold, when we actually listened to the words it was a "christian" song. I couldn't even tell because there was so much worldliness in the video and the beat and everything.
So maybe you should ask what kind of music I actually hear before saying I like Christian bands, which I find insulting.
