The CARM forum is very much like this one I am told, where different denominations have thier own chat forums.

I have a very close friend who posts over there, but we have lost touch over the months. His e-mails stopped a while back for some reason. I wonder if he is still there?

We attended the same SDA church for a while and studied a lot of Adventist issues together. Our ideas were very similar. I left that church, but he was still there last I heard.

Boy, CARM is extreme, they banned me within the hour for posting my regular pieces on the Sabbath and sin........evil certainly has friends on some sites......

He came in swinging a bat in a china shop. He broke multiple rules and offered no discussion. It's a discussion board. I was hoping someone would at least offer some dialogue and discuss with them, not blast them with large cut-and-pastes from other websites.

I was there this morning, and they are pretty hostile in there. There may be some that aren't, but most of what I had seen wasn't nice at all.

They are the exact same threads I posted here on the Sabbath and sin, and I don't have all day to lay around and post, I have work to do.........plus I was banned withing the hour......

It's a discussion board, reddogs. You broke multiple rules without offering any dialogue. Cut-and-pastes are not allowed without them being part of the discussion. I wish you would have brought up an issue and then discussed it. What you offered was no thought of your own. My guess is you found what you were looking for, but never really gave it a chance. You didn't even interact with them.

What rules did he break freeindeed2? You said they would be open for discussion. I have been reading Red's posts for a long time. He's not the controversial type like I am. He's more a matter of fact kind of guy. I'm not in the mood to go back over there ( besides I told myself I would not go back ever again)and look but maybe you could enlighten us on how much of "a bull in a china shop" kind of guy red was over there. We'lll be waiting,

Thats why I posted Palehourses threads first to see if any problems, and it seem alright till the clock struck the magic hour and the red carpet was taken out from under my feet, they are extreme to the point of 'politically correct obsessive compulsives' ....

When did that rule come into effect? When I was there whole sections of the SOP was cut and pasted from other sites . Authors of other books and articles were quoted with cut and pasted sections also. I invite anyone to look around over there and see if the same thing red got suspended for is not being done by someone else. I will say the moderator saw red was a genuine adventist and decided to enforce a rule that is loosely abided by in most cases.

Was this your first post? If it was then getting suspended just shows or prooves out what I said earlier. Most of the time they will give you a warning and assign a certain number of points against you. After 30 days they expire but being suspended on the first post ( if that is the case) is almost unheard of. Which moderator was it?

Anyone else interested in going over there now?

Not me. When I was there people flat-out lied about me and the mods wouldn't stop it. I was the one who ended up getting kicked off.

As a regular poster on CARM, I have to say your description of what happens there seems completely foreign to what I've read and most certainly foreign to the way I post. I invite anyone interested to visit CARM and read my posts to see if what I've written is true.

Further, when a moderator takes an action against a poster on CARM, it is not hard for anyone to notice that an action has been taken. There has been very little moderator action on CARM over the past several months. I am really not sure what David's concerns are in that regard.

If you are banned then you can't even get in there to look for however long they banned you for. It's usually 30 days but they could make it permanent. You could go back as someone else under another name but why do it red? I spent a couple months over there and after getting suspended twice I left for good. If you are a genuine adventist every word you say will be highly scrutinized and if you appear at all as being controversial they will slap you down and warn you. It's ok if the others do it, they can even call you things and get by with it but you sure better not.

These are the EXACT threads I posted here on the Sabbath, sin, etc.. and on 4 to 5 other websites with no issues. Nothing against the Pope, or Mark of the Beast, just regular basic issues......

Maybe, I bumped into a sacred cow with my horns??..

I'm not a moderator on CARM, but I'm guessing your problem had something to do with the fact that you started 7 new threads in one day. On CARM, you are only allowed to start 2 threads a day. From what I have seen, this rule seems to be enforced fairly among all posters regardless of religious affiliation. I tried to give you a heads up in one of my posts that you couldn't start more than 2 new threads in one day, but maybe you didn't read my post in time.

With all of that aside, I look forward to reading your response to what I posted in your threads on CARM.

Did you read what Ric_B wrote in this thread? You violated several rules in your very first posts on CARM. After reading this thread, I wonder whether you went to CARM with the intention of breaking the rules and receiving warnings so that you could return here and report that you had been disciplined. I don't know your heart, and don't know if that is true, but I must wonder why you felt it appropriate to start 7 new threads and cut and past vast amounts of material. If you had something else in mind, can you share what it was?

I spent a lot of time this morning crafting replies to your posts, so I'm disappointed that you will not be able to read my replies.
