  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If I'm not mistaken umbilical cords are all the stem cells we need, we don't have to kill any fetuses. Honestly I don't see what the debate is still about.

I think that is exactly the debate: while umbilical cells and adult stem cells have shown much promise, for some reason their are scientists out there who want to do embryonic stem cell research. I don't get why

Really, all that is needed is to move to canada like 10 miles from the american border, take 1 stem cell and clone it. Unless canadas against cloning to. In that case, mexico, or wherever in thw world that doesn't illegalize cloning. I don't think it would be illegal then to bring them back intothe us and study them, would it? On second thought, this is america, so it probably would :)

Stem cell research will revolutionise medicine and save millions of lives. Btw it is not about taking aborted babies for experiments. It is a brilliant thing.

Only the kind where you create life to destroy it or give more reason for the abortion industry to continue.

"cloning" is legal in the UK.

Well that's what I wanted to clarify. It was stated that a "con" to stem cell was that it made God angry. So I clarified what kind that "con" actually pertained to.
