Stay with Me

I'm reading through 1 Samuel at the moment and came across this and just want to share as a means of encouragement.

Stay with me; do not be afraid, for he who seeks your life is seeking mine as well. You will be safe with me. 1 Samuel 22:23

As I read those words (though they are of David), I felt the Spirit speak this to me.

He said, "These words are spoken to you from the Lord. Jesus says "Stay with me! Do not be afraid little one. The devil sought to kill me, and he prowls around like a lion seeking someone to devour, but with me you are safe. I am the Good Shepherd and I guard and protect my sheep."

Oh that I would run to Him in times of trouble! That I would abide in Him in times of peace.

"..He had prepared for you an abiding dwelling with Himself,
where your whole life and every moment of it might be spent,
where the work of your daily life might be done,
and where all the while you might be enjoying unbroken
communion with Himself.."
