Starting to Date

I began dating 3 years ago I guess. I was ok'd to date in a group when 15 but didn't get an actual date until 16. I think this was fair,and a good plan by my mother and father.

I wouldn't take anything back because it all formed who I am not but I started dating when I was 15 and that was quite young. But then, I never went on an actual date or kissed till I was 18. . .and right now I'm in an amazing relationship

Okay, I wouldn't technically call it "dating" for me and my boyfriend because we are so far apart, but I got my first boyfriend at the age of 18. Last year .

I was homeschooled from grades six through ninth so I didnt really have the opportunity to "date" until I started going to a public high school in 10th grade. I started dating my first boyfriend then (I was 16) and we dated for three years. Now I am 19 and have been dating my 2nd boyfriend for almost a year.

19. Everything worked out beautifully in the end, but I also believe wholeheartedly I'm an exception to the rule. I think it's ideal to start earlier, when most people do (14-16). There are so many social skills and experiences and even a necessary jadedness I missed out on.

Just kidding. I've only had two relationships in my life. One of which was in my 20's. So I didn't start dating till I was in my 20's.

I thought you were being serious with the first paragraph, because I kinda think like that. And I'm 20.

My first gf happened when I was 20. I've been on exactly one "date" (in the traditional sense) my entire life, and that one was well after me and the gf were together.

Since then, I've been on exactly zero...though not for lack of trying. The best I've had is an offer of a pity date from my best female friend...who is still in college and 6 hours away...and is already in a relationship.

I started to date at age 13, and in retrospect, it doesn't really matter much to me because I didn't know what I was doing until about 16 or 17.

It helped in the respect that it made me comfortable around females (1 of 3 brothers here).

I am surprised that so many people have not dated or have started dating around 18+

But then again I must say myself, my relationship was kinda a surprise for me too. I was very much headed in that direction myself.

I am very glad though. I will never take back this relationship, nor having it so young. The experience alone outside of all of the good stuff from a relationship is priceless. Through the relationship, I have learned a lot about myself

I don't think I ever dated, but that may be because of my definition of 'dating'. It's an American concept, I'm don't quite understand the specifics.
