Hello.
I am on a committee that is supposed
To do outreach...it is more of a coffee
Club. This is really bothering me because
I see what we could do, and how it would
Bless

A blanket ministry...simple, you tie together
Large pieces of flannel materal. Every large
Knot is blessed by a prayer as it is tied.
This would be for our members, and
All people in nursing home

Flower ministry....the beauty of a rose can
Always make one better, and the red rose
Is a sign of love.
The flower ministry is roses to member
In hospital, and all in nursing homes.
Bulk flowers can be ordered thru Sam's
And Costco...prices around 50cents each.
Provide fresh every 1 to two weeks
Use cheap vase

Laundry love...for a couple hours each
Month, we pay for washing

Food pantry. Once a month, food

Frozen meal ...for sick or in need

Why not to homeless and very poor people?

In hospital,

Good idea, just make sure that the hopital doesn't prohibit flowers as gifts to paients, as some do.

Friend, I implore you to get involved in your local nursing home. I minister there as well and these precious people are so often abandoned and ignored.
Talk with the Activity Director and mention that you would like to come once a week or whatever you wish, Or are comfortable with and do a short bible study or play bingo or games and puzzles with the residents.
You will be adopted and loved like never before and make many new and wonderful new brothers and sisters in Christ that will steal your heart.
Many times the residents that are passing away just want someone to be with them and hold their precious hand as they pass away and the nurses are just to busy, So unfortunately many pass away alone and scared.
Please; if this has been placed on your heart, Do not ignore it and I will pray for your group to get on fire for the Holy Spirit and get involved.
