I think that's the problem, I don't think a lot of people have much dedication to learning.

Congrats! It's been almost about almost 11 months since I took my classes. I enjoyed them very much and will probably take them again when they are offered with a friend of mine who is interested in our church. She is RC now. Our classes were for 8 weeks and averaged 3 hours or so each class. Time went by so fast though. Good luck and blessings to you!

Congratulations, cmjames! I am coming over from Roman Catholicism myself and have been attending a LCMS church for a while now. I am meeting with the pastor tomorrow morning to start the 'inquiry' process. The church I go to is quite small so we don't have a real inquirer's class yet. I don't know if the process will be long for me though since I have already studied Luther's Small Catechism by myself and I already have a good working knowledge of what Lutherans believe (hence my interest in Lutheranism lol).

Anyway! Forgive me for the near highjacking of your thread! Congrats to you again!
