I love it, but I havent played in a while. It used to be my favorite RTS, and I still think it has the best storyline of any RTS(although I am ready to assassinate the head of Blizzard if he doesnt come out with a new one so we can continue the story.). It also has some of the coolest characters/heroes of any RTS, namely Fenix(I fear no enemy, for the Khala is my strength!), Zeratul(the dark templar rock, and he is pretty much their head hancho), and Jim Raynor(YEEEEEEEEEEHAW!!! Zergling rodeo!)

I still play on battle.net frequently, my most often used nick is orion[treet], I don't play expansion, only original. SC is best rts made to date imo.

I'd still toss up between Starcraft and Total Annihilation (let's not turn this into another one of THOSE topics) but yes, Starcraft excels compared to most other RTS games out there, even the modern ones.

I knew a guy who was in the top 20 players for Starcraft, until he quit and began to move on to other games.
