CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nah, I've never really been a big Trekkie, although I have seen most of the movies.
Something I still can't wrap my mind around, is people who go to Start Trek conventions and dress up. Weird. But hey, whatever floats your boat!

I grew up watching Next Generation w/ my dad. And I've seen *most* of the movies, though not all. But then, I didn't start watching the movies 'til I married my hubby who is also a Trekkie (as is his dad). In the last couple of years, I've caught up on watching The Original Series as well as a couple of the later series, but TNG and TOS are my favs by far.

I remember when a couple of episodes from when I was just a young kid. I watched it in syndication throughout my teens, and still enjoy it from time to time.
I really liked some of the Enterprise episodes, too.
