  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Which episode had these lines of dialogue, and who said it?

1. "Oochee woochee coochee coo!"

2. "Is there anyone on this ship who looks even remotely like Satan?"

3. "Actually, she found them to be the most attractive human trait of all. I didn't have the heart to tell her that only I--"

4. "In a different reality, I could have called you friend."

5. "I prefer another guide."

All from "Trek Classic" (1966-69).

I'll allow at least four days for answers.

No prizes, I'm afraid.

(Now, I know I'll get fewer answer attempts!)

I know this one but I can't recall the name. I believe it was a show in which kirk and spook were on a planet that some star ship captain, name unknown; stayed on and spook& kirk were captured. Kirk was trying to descifer the readings of the "cons" the reading was the declaration of independance" Kirk ended with a great speech. This was truly a very political show. Hope I'm partly correct line 2 was the one that brought this memory?

Don't remember the episode, but it was "Bones" who said it to a baby.

I don't remember what the episode was called, but it was when the Enterprise came across the alternate universe Enterprise and it's crew. It was Captain Kirk that said it, and he was of course referring to Spock.

Had to be Spock who said this.

No idea.

I bet U.K. Cowboy will get these.

#1 has been correctly answered. PING! PING! PING! PING! PING! PING! PING! PING!

#2 - Holy Roller, you're thinking of "The Omega Glory" - BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

- Wisdom Seeker, you're thinking of "Mirror, Mirror", but yes, Kirk said it - also BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. When someone gets it or time's up, I'll transcribe the relevant dialogue!

#3 is spoken by Spock. If you can figure out who "her" is, you could figure out which episode.

CLUE: #4 and #5 were spoken by the same guest actor (has appeared in seven Star Trek productions), but as two different characters.

I sent a link of this to my ridiculous brother. Here're his replies:

The answer to number four which no one in your forum seems to have figured out was spoken by the actor named Mark Leonard. In that episode he played a Romulan starship captain. In future episodes he would play the role of Sarek, Spock's father. The episode name was "Balance of Terror". Yes, I'm a geek. :)

Also, they never got the episode right for question 3. Spock did say the line... the "Her" referenced was the Horta, a big rock that eats through walls and people. The episode name was "The Devil in the Dark". William Shatner said in one of his books that keeping a straight face while filming the scene where Leonard Nemoy talks to the big rock was one of the hardest things he ever had to do in the original series.

THE ANSWERS!!!

#1 - McCoy to the High Teer Leonard James Akaar in "Friday's Child"
#2 - Kirk to Spock at the end of "The Apple"
#3 - Spock to Kirk at the end of "The Devil in the Dark" - Mama Horta really liked the ears.
#4 - Romulan commander (played by Mark Lenard - no "O") to Kirk, at the end of "Balance of Terror". Bravo, Leader of the Banned.
#5 - Sarek of Vulcan (played by Mark Lenard) to Kirk, after Kirk says that Spock will be the ambassador's guide on a tour of the Enterprise. Kirk does not yet know that he has Spock's parents standing before him.

New quiz, one quote only:

"Oh, he's started a countdown!!!"

Field open to others to post favourite quotes or quotes to baffle!
