I have seen plenty from Non-Chalcedonians in this thread and in other places. It;s hard to avoid such things when you and Minasoliman could manage to make it happen in any thread. Just stop! We don't agree! We have been separate since the 4t council! We have different saints! Everyone knows this, theres no need to make it happen in a single nother thread. Minasoliman, perhaps you could refrain from coming in here to raise OO vs. EO problems. There's nothing more annoying than petty sniping.

That's what I was saying. Unlike St. Francis, Severus was condemned by a council so we should not call him a saint. But respect for other human beings should be used. I wasn't criticizing you, just making a distinction in response to what choirfiend said.

Temper it by saying "your" saint serverus or something. We HAVE anathamized those who would use the Filioque and things, havent we? Are we not as equally separate from the RCC? Do they not have saints that have argued for heretical doctrines? Seriously, you two are the only ones who seem to start these things. Why not just determine to end it?

A question for you, choirfiend, is why you intrude in what you regard as "petty sniping."

I referred to Severus respectfully as Severus of Antioch.

You do what you want, but don't ask me to agree.

I don't refer to post-Schism RC saints as "St. So-and-so" either.

Do you refer to Pope John Paul as Pope? Do you call your local Methodist church's minister "Pastor Joe" when you meet him? Would you call OO Bishops Mar ____? Would you call the synagogue's leader Rabbi? Using the term of respect or name of position is not recognition or acceptance of whatever that person taught.

I think referring to Non-Chalcedonians as "Oriental Orthodox" is not only a patent falsehood, but a very bad witness.
