Ok, I'll have to get them this week. Due to S being blind, I don't go to theatre much. she's a Tolkien fan, so we went to all the LOR movies and have the set now on DVD. The last time we went to a theatre was to watch the "Passion".
My son usually tells me what is good, and we ge the DVD's when he visits me.

He has a friend who also downloads a lot of stuff off the net, but that's piracy and I don't condone it.

Do they have anything like Netflix in South Africa? It's this thing they started where you pay a certain amount of money per month and give them a list of movies. They send you one of the movies on the list and you can keep it as long as you need in order to watch it, and then you send it back and get another movie. It's pretty cool and then you don't have to worry about checking out movies and having to turn them in without getting a chance to watch them.

I don't do piracy, it's wrong and plus it puts all kinds of viruses on your computer. Not worth the risk.

Safely in Finland (well, I've been here for six hours already). Weather is gorgeous and it's just overall nice to be here. I miss the greenery and birch and all... tomorrow night I head to Lapland.

Hello everyone. Just winding down from an intense weekend...lots of church activity on Saturday getting prepared for my Chrismation, then in the morning got up early to take my parents to the airport, then off to Liturgy and Chrismation and Communion and a nice feast afterwards. Very very full and wonderful and, yes, exhausting!

On another note, will those who are so moved please pray for James and his family...they missed church this weekend for health concerns which have come up for him. Many thanks!

Isn't this nice... I have a slow bathtub drain so I put some Drano Max Gel down it and waited 30 minutes (the time for a badly clogged drain). Stupid drain is flushing back, however... arrrgh. I put the other half of the bottle down the drain and I'm presently trying to flush it with hot water.

Please pray for a friend of ours. He is in Malawi, helping a pastor there and giving away stuff. He was told by the doctor here not to eat anything while in Malawi, just to drink bottled water and to eat Energy Bars. Well, you just can't do that. You can't be a guest in someone's impoverished home and eat your own special American food while they eat whatever poor meal they have prepared. So, being the good Christian man that he is, he's eating their food. (He probably gave away all his Energy Bars the first day.) Well, he's always been in delicate health and he's not young (my age, 53) so for him to pass through this adventure unscathed will require either a miracle or a martyrdom, either one being acceptable in the Kingdom, but I would like you all to pray for a miracle and that he remain healthy. His name is Skip.

He's also given away almost all of his money, so pray he has enough left to get back home on!
