CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

uh oh, i'm doomed: i can't find my wallet, i'm riding a bus to someplace far far away in four hours, and the last place i remember my wallet being is two hours away. fortunately, i have everything i need for the next couple days on me and if it is there, they can mail it to me, but the point remains, this is deucedly inconvenient. and what if i give up looking because i assume it's there and it isn't? then i'm doomed.

Well, I'm going in for one last bout of wallet-searching. If I can't find it, I don't know what I shall do. Well, write my roommates checks for them to cash when I need money, I guess, because I know it's either in one house or another and I'm too cheap to get another ATM card or driver's license if it's not really lost.

wallet found. was underneath bed by head. no clue how it got there of all places, i don't sleep with my wallet underneath my pillow or anything. it wasn't the last place i looked, however.

What did you get your dad for fathers-day? My daughter - Kendal - (24) invited me to her Methodist church to listen to her sing in their choir. I did so out of politeness, though I was very uncomfortable there. We had tea in their hall afterwards, and she gave me a card and a tube of "Vodka Choclates" from England. quite unique.
It was 9:30. and too late to get to our ROC parish, but S and I went to a GO parish 10 minutes away. It was the first time I've been to a Greek Service, but I felt so at home. We got there just in time for the Creed, and then of course, we had the Pentecostal prayers after DL. That Parish has pews, so prostrations were difficult, we could only kneel.
After that we went out to a restuarant to eat, and I got a pocket knife key-ring as a gift there. So we had a good day in all.
