I have had neuralgic pain in everywhere, especially my spine, hands, forearms, head and legs (and feet when I put any weight on them, particularly the soles of my feet, unless there is memory foam underneath) for a week now. The pain alternates daily from 7/10 to 4/10, and 4/10 I can bear because I'm used to chronic pain now. The 7/10 is just misery.
Went to the physio tonight, maybe it helped maybe it didn't I don't know. Is ow.And I've missed four Church services that I wanted to go to as a result.
Saratoga. Nice two hour bus ride in the morning until my car gets down here. Lovely parish until Fr. Basil found out that I was an acolyte back home and then he says, "Oh good! Feel free to walk right into the altar next week!"
This feeling of being volun-told is becoming more and more familiar... :o
But I like doing stuff, so it works out

Thanks, guys. I know what you mean about pushing Colleen - I try to make myself stay in bed on the really bad days, because once I'm up I push too hard and crash BADLY. Pacing is hard when the adrenaline kicks in, as you know I'm sure.
I am so grateful for your prayers.
Crocs are awesome. I can't wear them though - synthetic materials and my skin is bad and always has been, but I wear Earth shoes (they have orthotics built into them and support my feet - I wear a maryjane style) in winter and a particular kind of Colorado brand sandals in summer which also have the support and cushioning in them. My feet do start to hurt with either though. At home I wear slip on house slippers - I buy mine from Peter Alexander, they're $20 (think $10 US) a pair, come in pretty prints, and have memory foam soles, so they take the weight but the pressure doesn't go into my feet and the pain goes down massively. I love them. I have a pair by my bed, and I have learned that if I put them on first thing, before I put my feet on the floor, it stops me swearing quite so often from the pain
The things we learn as chronically ill people, huh?
ETA: this is the style of slipper I wear - he changes the print periodically, mine have cake, cocktails and ice creams printed on them in pastel candy colours. I like the spots though!

Volun-told is the norm in the military, so I'm sure you'll get used to it.
Thank youHaha, volun-told. Oh well!Glad you've found a spiritual home
Believe me I learned it very quickly just didn't expect it from the other side of the gates!Voluntold... that is now the story of your life, my friend, as I'm sure you've begun to learn.
Saratoga, CA. Its about a two hour bus ride from Monterey. At the last AAC in Seattle I had recently gotten this contract, so I knew where I was going after boot camp. I was introduced to Fr. Basil (priest in Saratoga) by my spiritual father only to be, in his words, "ordered" to attend this parish as soon as I was able! And what's in Saratoga that the Navy would be doing? Unless I'm thinking of the wrong Saratoga.
Depends on the flavor of the Gatorade, depends on the beer.
indeed Fierce Melon Gatorade trumps most beer, and Guiness trumps all Gatorade.
Fierce Melon is the only non-traditional Gatorade flavor that I care for (I used to drink the heck out of some Lemon Ice, but they've discontinued that as far as I know).
Fierce Melon trumps most of what I call "fast food beers" (Bud, Mich, Coors, etc). So in that regard, I can agree. But there are some pretty darn good ones out there, so I can't say that I absolutely agree with what you said.
