My friend whose baby has trisomy 13 is being induced today. She checked into the hospital about an hour ago. The baby made it to term (37 weeks) so that's good. He's strong. I really worry about her though. =( I just can't imagine what a wonderful and terrible day this must be all at the same time.

She had Eli early this morning (about 5 or 6 hours ago). As of right now, he is still alive. I am so glad that she is getting to spend time with him. Here is a link to a pic from her Twitter feed:

Elijah passed away a little while ago. I am so happy for the time that Laura got to spend with him and cuddle him. I am so happy that Laura was his mother and chose life for him even though she knew very early on how hard this would be. Glory to God!

Sorry to have brought such a sobering topic into the Taverna. It's just been weighing heavily on me. I hugged Allie a little tighter when she woke up from her nap.


And by the way, she slept through the night last night. Woot! From 9pm to 6am.
