CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My friend whose baby has trisomy 13 is being induced today. She checked into the hospital about an hour ago. The baby made it to term (37 weeks) so that's good. He's strong. I really worry about her though. =( I just can't imagine what a wonderful and terrible day this must be all at the same time.

Elijah passed away a little while ago. I am so happy for the time that Laura got to spend with him and cuddle him. I am so happy that Laura was his mother and chose life for him even though she knew very early on how hard this would be. Glory to God!

Sorry to have brought such a sobering topic into the Taverna. It's just been weighing heavily on me. I hugged Allie a little tighter when she woke up from her nap.
