Thanks you guys. Skintones drive me batty. But I stumbled upon a method that goes by the percentages that show up in the CMYK values even in RGB. I am a very mathematical person and find a great deal of comfort in numbers. So at least by watching those values I know I'm in the ballpark before I start trusting my eyes.

Numbers are my worst enemy! My definition of Hell=having a pile of calculus books in front of me and I am not allowed into Heaven until I have completed all of the equations in them!

LOL! My worst nightmare consists of exams that are entirely made of true/false questions. I loathe true/false questions!

It's not exact, but it gets you very close so you don't feel like it's such a guessing game. I think a guy named Dan Margulis came up with the theory.

Watch the backgrounds though because sometimes you'll end up with a correct skintone, but off-colored background. You can either use a mask, which can sometimes be a pain. Or what I do is click on the mask thumbnail on the curves layer in my layers tab then go to Image << Apply Image . Then in the drop down menu under Channel I select Red and hit OK. This will keep the hair and background clean. When you look at the thumbnail only the parts that are white will have the corrections applied to it. I don't know if this works on all skintones though, or just Caucasion.

Loser. I don't know what you guys do in your part of the world, but we wear our leathers here until they're melting and merging with our very skin. Just ask Uncle Clem about my leather jacket/shorts/boots combo.

Summers in the Pacific NW are different from other parts of the country. The thing is we don't have anything close to the humidity as you would find on the east coast in places like Miami or D.C.

A hot 90F day of summer in Washington is akin to sleeping in a sleeping bag two feet away from a thirty foot high bonfire while wearing flannel in the sleeping bag. It's brutal. It's baking. And frankly I'm too lazy, impatient and poor to take my leather jacket to the dry cleaners every other week this summer
