I really am fed up with all this - I could do with going shopping for food - but I'm not going to drown to go and get food - it will just have to wait till I get the car out - so no lunch today

Good morning!
I've got lots to do today. I got a phone call yesterday that our parish is completely out of prosphora again, so my godmother and I are going to try to remedy the situation this morning.
Wish me luck. Last time was quite a baking travesty. ...Huge lopsided mutant-looking prosphora with way too much salt.

You should have seen me trying to help my GodPapa in the finer points of breadmaking using AIM !! We were only about 400 miles apart and he decided he was going to try and make prophora .
Since then I've taught him to knead with me beside him - but prosphora are still not great

Anyway, I wanted to tell you guys that my college has a lecture series on all things related to living a Christian life - and this year, we have an iconographer coming to give a lecture, and an Orthodox priest coming to give a lecture about chant in the Greek tradition! Fr. Apostolos Hill. I do not know anything about him, but I have heard some of his chant recordings and they are beautiful.
I just thought it was cool

They have a really bad selection of TV stations on this ship! That is one of my only 2 complaints about the entire cruise! They have NBC but no Versus Network. You can see the Redwings v Ducks series but not the Penguins v Canes series! IS OUTRAGE!!!
Other complaint is the bartender was incredibly rude to me last night when I asked for a cigar cutter and long matches in the cigar bar, which is the only place on the ship where you can smoke a cigar. She treated me like I was going to steal the cheap plastic cutter they have and snapped at me when I asked for long matches. UGH!
