  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Loool.....
Well, the Manowar attitude is funny though..
I am an Orthodox Metalhead too,so we are many here..(hidden,but many)

Well, concerning Def Leppard...well,they are not Heavy Metal for sure,(for me is like a very heavy Bon Jovi or something) but their heavy rock work is awesome..great great band..

I wouldn't put Def Leppard and Bon Jovi (or Motley Crew, Poison, or any of the other hair bands) on the same level. Def Leppard is a superior hard rock band with some serious substance to their work (at least Hysteria and before). I don't see the same skill in Bon Jovis work, and definitely not in the work of the other hair bands.

Michael,

Did your dog have puppies?

She didnt. It turned out she had ovarian cysts that were almost piamitra and thus we had to get her spayed. But we did get a new puppy. A cocker which we named Ruutu. Ruutu will be 4 months on May 25.

I have to admit - this contest leaves me cold :)

I really can't inderstand the enthusiasm for it - sorry

I don't really watch it for the musical factor (there is one??), more for the amusement factor... the ridiculousness of it all. Esp since most of the types of music isn't even popular in the countries they come from and the bands don't exist other than to take part in the 'competition' (with some exeptions of course).

Good morning to orthodox metalheads, to those who are excited about Eurovison song contest, to those it leaves cold and to other non-music lovers friends.

Can you believe the guy performing for France sings in English ?

Quel Scandale! (no clue if I spelled that even remotely correctly LOL) He should be tarred and feathered and thrown in the Seine (that in itself would be punishment enough I think LOL)...

Few people knew that Celine Dion (for Switzerland) won the Eurovision Song Contest and after that she became much more famous...

Hello MtI

Every time Pink Floyd or Billy Joel come up on m'ipod I think of the music convos we've had here.

The fiancee and I went to see Billy Joel when he was in Pittsburgh in April. Even though he is 59 he still puts on a great show! As for Floyd, I am wishing Roger Waters would tour again, as that concert was simply awesome!

It could be worse, at least from a French perspective. He could sing in GERMAN! :D

Hi all.

Well, advice was given - I made my decision. Now to see what happens as a result of that decision...

I love my spiritual father, I really really do. I do wish though, that he wouldn't look at me as if he was just waiting for me to tell him what he's known for months though... ah, kidding. Mostly. I love him, I just always feel like I should have seen this coming months ago.

Hi Jenn! Nice to see you all again. * to Anhelyna*

Lazy dogs are good. They don't jump on you as much or chew things to bits. If only they'd go from cute and cuddly babies straight to lazy adults I'd think about getting another one.

It took Oliver, the 12 year old, quite a while to get to lazy. Now he is content to getting fat and lazy the rest of his life, with plenty of dog treats and belly rubs thrown in. As for the puppy, she is anything but lazy. I forgot how much fun it was to own a cocker spaniel!
