Hey there my friend! How are you?"I know that faith made my life possible and that of many others like me... Reason hardly warranted Anne Sullivan's attempt to transform a little half-human, half-animal, deaf-blind child into a complete human being. Neither science nor philosophy had set such a goal, but faith, the eye of love did. I did not know I had a soul. Then the God in a wise heart drew me out of nothingness with cords of human love and the life belt of language, and lo, I found myself."

That's great Michael! I don't think pears grow here, at least I've never seen a pear tree in Colorado. In fact, very few plants of any kind will survive our miserable winter's. We certainly don't have any signs of the so called "global warming" happening here.I just bought a pear tree for my yard to replace the one I cut down a few weeks ago that was old and no longer produced fruit.
My yard is almost an orchard. I have a cherry tree, an apple tree, 2 peach trees, this new pear tree, a grapevine and I plan to get one more apple tree and a sweet cherry tree (the other one has tart cherries for baking pies). That's great Michael! I haven't even had breakfast yet, and now it's lunch!
Stop it, you're depressing me!My yard is almost an orchard. I have a cherry tree, an apple tree, 2 peach trees, this new pear tree, a grapevine and I plan to get one more apple tree and a sweet cherry tree (the other one has tart cherries for baking pies).
My yard needs a ton of work. It won't look like I want it to look for another 2-3 years. I plan to build a garage, then privacy fence in the yard (mostly because the neighbors to the one side of my house are really wierd and their yard is always a mess), then I will build a deck of my tiny back porch and finally I will build a watergarden/stream/waterfall. The watergarden will be the last thing to be built and I would not be surprised if it were not built until 2010.Stop it, you're depressing me!
I would love to be able to see something other than an evergreen type plant.
We have the ugliest landscapes in Colo. unless you just love the color green!
Isn't that nice that there are still children out there that write thank you notes. I was raised that way and so are my kids. Thank you notes really do make a difference!!!Hey all! This is so cool! When my cousin and I went to the Steelers fanfest at Heinz field a month ago my mom had me get a small football signed by one of the Steelers for one of her students. I got it signed by Ofeensive Tackle Max Starks. I just got a handwritten thankyou note from the 7 year old student of my mom's thanking me for the football. It really made my day!
My mom taught us to write thank you notes for everything. It stuck with one of us (me.) I recently gave my old computer to my sister and didn't even get as much as a phone call from her. She only called to complain when she couldnt figure out how to set the computer to look for 1 hard drive instead of 2 (I kept the large hard drive which I had installed after I bought it).Isn't that nice that there are still children out there that write thank you notes. I planted my tree, went grocery shopping, did some work on my spare bedroom, and have been gessoing 6 icon panels (on and off all day). I am making a cheeseburger right now, but a cold beer really sounds good to me. I might have to head out to my favorite watering hole...Fajitas sound tasty right now!I'm going to go eat at On The Border. I like their fajitas!!!
I hope everyone is having a nice day! You must all be busy since it's been quite here today!
