CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Don, I'm going to watch my bank account shrivel and die in the next few weeks... new AC and furnace (and ductwork) coming on. They haven't died YET, but I think we're heating or cooling the birds more than we are the inside and they are going to bust any month now... so I figured I'd bite the bullet. I'm liking this cool weather, I'll like the electric bill even more when it shows up.
It's 9:30 and I'm zonked... no clue why... and if I go to bed now I'll wake up early and that drives the dear hubby nuts when he wants to sleep.

Time to go out and muzzle all these crickets we have around here. I'm getting sound sensitive again... ARGH... happens every now and then. Kevin dragged out a pizza leftover and I thought I was going to barf. NO, not pregant. Sensory overload... no fun.

First you need to work for someone that pays once a month, and then you put in a day and a half at the very beginning of a pay period, so that you will forget about working those days by the time your check gets to you.You got a paycheck but did not work ?What's your secret ? I might be interested.

My schedule at the station has been so sporadic that I'm not ever sure when I work until they either call me or e-mail me. I do know that I'm in church this Sunday, and in Roanoke next weekend.
I'm enjoying this weather, too! This weekend's supposed to be VERY nice, so I've got all my "chores" done so maybe I can enjoy it. The only thing on my agenda is to take my son around the neighborhood so he can sell popcorn for his boy scout troop.

I hear you! I want to get some flowers for the front yard since I spent hours ripping up the collected weeds and semi-dead summer flowers a few days ago. I got bulbs today to plant for flowers next spring but I want to get something to brighten the front for now. I've emptied most of the greenhouse and I need to break down the green house soon (I have a neat pop-up version) and neaten up the back yard and plant some stuff. There's still some patches of dead grass after the whole deck deal so I'm going to try that new 'grass mat' and see if it works. It's going to be taken over by crab grass anyways but I can try to at least patch it up. Then I guess all I can do is wait for the leaves to fall so I have something to rake, rake, rake...
We just joined a gym up by Town Center so we'll be going there a fair share now (hopefully LOL).
Well, now it's past ten so I can actually go to bed without feeling like a 10 year old/old fogie.

Jenn! I just e-mailed the owner of that gym to see if he'd show me around. We send guests at our hotels there (he honors a special rate for them), so I was going to go see if I might be interested in joining.
Kinda close to Gordon Biersch to do a whole lot of good though, isn't it?

Ok friends, it is time for bed. It was very good to see my grandpap today. He was so happy to see me, and he tore into the icecream I brought him. That really made him happy.

Yea, that's what we keep joking about... first gym, then fries and beer at GB. It's very nice, not huge, but definitely what we were looking for. And it's a good deal, in comparison to Baltimore area. I didn't want any lifters and grunts and people just hanging around. And no thumping music... We're going tomorrow to give our bodies a heads up on the upcoming abuse. Then of course we're having a burger cookout in the evening since one of our good friend's is moving to GA for supply officer school and then probably off somewhere else.Jenn! I usually take him lunch, but this time I took him sweets. He loved the ice cream (cherry vanilla) and ate the entire almond chocolate bar I took him. My family tells me he reacts differently to different people, but he is always happy to see me. He even told me he is glad I come see him every few weeks. That is impressive that he remembers that I do come see him as he has absolutely no short term memory. He is teaching me alot about giving through these visits.

Good morning everyone...it's 4:40 am here. My dog woke me up around 4, and my allergies are so distracting (especially congestion) that I finally just got out of bed. Sleepy though.
