Good morning to mad reppers that are gone in the past, to those who don't know if they should rejoice because they did not like that name or cry because he did not rep them, to german speaking iconographers who are back and want their meat loving dog allowed in the taverna and have tons of peaches, to hose who are proud being from the south and to those who fail to understand why, to those whose ancestors fought in the last 2 centurys wars even if some of them don't feel like being in the military but still find german helmets cool, to those who have several kinds of coffe and fruits (regular for me, please, aaaaarh, quick), to those who have Ernesto coming their way (glups), to those who complain about the weather of where they live, and to other friends.

good morning to you, too...

Welcome back, Michael the Iconographer.

I saw the name change when it happened, weird. Your repper name shimmered like a ghost and then was replaced.

I never really was gone, I just transmogrified myself for a few days! :D (props to Calvin and Hobbes!)

Shall I count how many times Emmanuel greeted me?

Good Morning Emmanuel, how was your trip to Normandy?

Hello Andrea Elizabeth !

My stay was nice, although it rained most of the time, so I couldn't do much of the walks and bicycle trips I had planed. I read and cooked instead.

Oh, and yesterday, I left at dawn to attend DL in a monastery that is half-way between Paris and my parent's house in Normandy. It was my first time in a monastery.
It's a ROCOR nun's monastery that is very traditional so the DL was 100% in slavonic, but even if I did not understood much, I liked the solemn atmosphere, the beautiful etheric chanting of the nuns and I could venerate some relics of St John Maximovitch they have, so that was great.
In fact, hardly anyone spoke french there, and one could really believe he was in Russia were the monastery and church not traditional red brick norman buildings.

I spend next week end in another monastery, this time a french speaking one, the one I told you about whose higoumen was a spiritual son of fr. Sophrony. I'll tell you my impressions.

OK. Where's the barbeque? Thanks to an anonymous gift (thank you very much) my new bottle of ketchup has replaced the empty bottle of Rooh Afza!

I am willing to share.

I'll bring the cake (non-lenten) and some potato chips! Can't have barbeque leftovers as tomorrow is a strict fast, then there's Wednesday, so we'll have to eat up.

My first time in a monastery was totally Greek speaking, but it was a good introduction. Etheric slavonic nun chanting - *sigh*. I'm sure you got a lot of blessing from venerating St. John Maximovich - and maybe you're unbeknownedly spreading the blessing to us right now. I look forward to hearing your impressions after your french speaking monastery visit.

A bbq sounds good! If only my house were already completely unpacked and all I could have everyone to The 'Burg for a bbq! :D

I appreciate works in progress - Labor Day in the Burg's good for me! ;)

Next Sunday is the company picnic at Kennywood Amusement park, and I probably will be working labor day. You can never pass up double time and a half pay for one day!
