Mind? HA! You have to be kidding me! The three of them (Oliver, Brittany and Tikhon) LOVE meat. Whenever I make sausage I have to make an extra piece so I can split it among them.

I don't think our rain today is a result of Ernesto, but I am so very thankful for it! And we're supposed to get more tonight. I'm sure the cows, horses, goats, and donkeys in the near-by brown, crispy, previously 105 degree pastures will be very glad too.

I was born and raised in the South...but lived my teens and early twenties in the North. There is a distinct difference. That's all I'm gonna say.

I love New York, especially NYC, but I can't visit there except in the summer because it's too cold for me. I get chilled when it's 70 degrees. The hot, humid weather of the South is perfect for me.

I'm worried about ol' Ernesto, too. I'm glad he's not too strong, and that he doesn't seem to be headed for NOLA.

Ugh, hot and humid doesn't suit me. And I live in Florida...

I hear you! I don't like it down that way in the summer... Hubby grew up in Tampa and he looooooves it! He hates going running before it hits 75 and he really enjoys it after it gets past 85 with lots and lots of humidity. WIERD!!! My ideal retirement location is Alaska for the summer, Florida for the winter so I told him to get on with the making money plan . Or the Georgia mountains... but right now I'm pretty happy where we are on the VA coast. I'm just trying to see how much a new AC and furnace would be because I'm refusing to go through the same thing we did this last heatwave when the AC can't push enough cool air upstairs to cool it enough to be comfortable and I slept on the couch downstairs where it was nice and cool. And it's never comfortable upstairs during the summer... not even with a fan.
I've really been enjoying the 75 degree weather here in Finland, but now it's getting closer to 60 so it's a bit chilly. I love fall storms so I hope we get some good ones (not hurricane ones tho).
Well, I guess I should do something useful... day is starting here.
