I don't believe I have ever had the need to go looking for a raw beet. What am I missing out on?

I get bottled borsht at Walmart and add to it. I'm not very gourmet so I don't mind canned either. Think I'll go get some left-over coffee from yesterday.

Andrea: I do that all the time... nuke a cup of yesterday's coffee!

I have one of those coffee makers that makes 12 cups, but you place your mug up against the machine to dispense the coffee... so it's pretty snug in there and stays warm for awhile without burning. A 30 second zap and it's as good as new!

I think reheated yesterday's coffee that is perked is better than instant. And I'm on instant during vacation.

Is that kind of related to their story that they are starving, especially when I am eating steak, chicken, sausage or another meat that they find tasty?

I don't think I've ever seen a raw beet and wouldn't know it if it came up and bit me.

And didn't you mean to say, canned beets! is Outrage! I can take it.

When I was a kid, my parents had what they called "Torment-du-Jour" which was a dish that they knew none of us kids liked, but which they were hoping we would grow to like if they fed it to us enough. Borscht was pretty much at the top of the list. I haven't eaten it in probably 20 years, and I'm not really itchin' to try it again any time soon.

Ah, we are only getting some of the games here at South Lake Tahoe... on their cable. At home we have the satellite TV. Oh well... hmmmm.

Of course I understand that English Toy Spaniels are prone to spoiling and that when it comes to my dogs, there simply is no hope for them! They simply are spoiled brats! (although, quite lovable).

My Dandie Dinmont Terrier is no exception! Just look at those sweet, hazel eyes! Then there are the cats.... :o
